Bellhousing??

Does anyone have a list of bellhousing casting numbers that would work in my 79 with T-10 borg warner tranny? The tranny came out of a 78. Or maybe a link to one that will work. Thanks.

There may be somewhere, but most any SB or BB Chevy bellhousing from mid 80s back with mechanical throwout should work for that.

You can tell the Chevy ones from the Buick-Olds-Pontiac ones by the top center point. Joe

I have a 464697 bellhousing and am trying to use it with a T-10 tranny from a 78 vette. It seems that the housing is about .25" shallow after I install the tranny. Can anyone verify if these two components can work together or if I need a different bellhousing. I didn't think bellhousings for chevy 350's came in different heights.
