Slave cylinder purchase

Does anyone have a good source for a new or rebuilt slave cylinder for my C3? Thanks

i take it you're talking about power steering? I rebuilt my own with the kit from corette central. Works great. Just take your time and it will work out fine. Getting that snap ring back in is a real pain. There's a walkthrough on corvettefaq.com that should help you on your way.

yep...was going to that but my shaft seems to have a very slight bend in it...so this scraps it...right?

Try Muskegon Brake. That's where I got mine. I had people tell me that rebuilding the slave is a PIA but I've never tried. The finish on the actuator rod has to be in good shape to make a reseal effective. The actuator rod on mine was all knicked up so I went with the remanufactured cylninder and it works fine. It wasn't much more than $70 but that was a few years ago.
