on the drivers side kick panel, just below the emergency brake. wanted it inside, didnt' like the idea of all that underhood heat "cooking" the electronics in the box..... even though MSD says it's o.k.

Mounted my 6AL box to the passenger side wheelwell above the extractor vent. Has been fine for 5 years now.

I mounted mine behind the passenger dash panel as well. Plenty of room, clean looks, and pretty easy to get to. You could put your coil in there too. I've seen some people do it.

I think by extractor vent he means the fender scoop on the side of the car. I could be wrong, though.

I mounted mine under in the engine bay on the right hand side ahead of the expansion tank above the A-arm. I mounted it upside down so the wires would exit the box towards the distributor. MSD gave me a new sticker that I installed to be upright so it looks OK. I have driven over 22,000 miles with no problems.

It's just the side vent behind the front tire. On '72's, there is an open area behind the wheelwell on the passenger side. No overflow tank-etc, just the wiper door actuator relay. Was a convient place to mount it for me.

After never using the washer tank(6 years) on the left side under the brake booster and above the left vent, I removed the tank and used the factory bracket to attach an L shape alum. bracket with the rubber bumpers that came with the kit. I then went down and purchased weather pak connectors to make all connections. I am still using points to signal the box so I can easilly go back to the points with a quick change of connectors.
