dashlight - switch or fuseblock??
The dashlights on my 76 quit working the other day. The turn signals and bright light indicator work, the headlamp door open light works etc. Just the dashlights themselves. I disassembled the dash last night and checked the bulbs, all were okay. I looked at the fuseblock and the fuses appear to be okay as well. Could the actual headlight switch be bad? Or the fuse block? What else could I check. I don't have a ampmeter/anmeter (whatever their called) but I know how to make a test light!
Thanks guys/gals, any help would be appreciated, I don't like driving around at night not knowing my speed!
I believe that is all one circuit. Replace the fuse first. Sometimes they don't burn in such a way that it is obviously blown. I will bet anything that is your problem.
