Default Carpet install links?

I put carpet in FAQs and found nothing. My issues are of course the rear fender areas (i guess you just force it in best way possible) and how do you lift the parking brake console enough to put the back carpet under? Thanks!

I used contact cement on alot of the carpet. I also removed all trim, including the parking brake conscel. Over the fenders you need the side trim off to tuck the carpet up under the fender.
The hardest part for me was the storage lids. I still don't know how to do them right.

After removing the screws on this rear console, do you slide it forward or lift up?

Default carpet install

you might also want to let it set out in the sun to warmup. it lays down a lot better tha way and becomes very east to work with.

I just finished mine. I will try to post some pictures today.

I took all the trim peices that hold the carpet in out of the car. Once i laid in the insolation and taped it down ( you may glue it to the floor) I set the carpet in on top of that. I had to trim it up some but not to much. I started to put the trim back in starting with the door sill and the kick panel (not sure if that is what it is called, its down to the left of the petals on the drivers side) once I got those into place i put the parking brake console and shifter console back in the car. ( I had them completely out to make sure when the carpet was layed in it was straight with no wrinkles)

I asked about a month ago about where the seat belt covers were suposed to go and i ended up putting them under the carpet which is where they should go. I did not do the back of my car so i cant help you there but i would think that you do it just like the front, that is take all the trim peices out, lay it in and then put the trim back on. Good luck and let us know how it goes

PS not sure if it is clear, I did not glue the carpet to the floor.

James

there's a bolt you have to remove thats located inside the center stowage compartment. the parking brake console cannot be removed without removing this bolt-a real pain cuz u have to remove the plastic trim piece around the compartment doors ect to get at the bolt
