Where does the temperature sender go on a TH200R4?

Ill check at the local speed shops if they sell some hardware to put the sensor into the line that goes to the cooler...

I would take the pan to a good welding shop and have them install the ports that you need where you need them. They can weld a bung right in, and place it in whatever location you want it. They could also install a welded in drain plug for you at the same time. I think it would be worth the money.
