It looks like a 72, (chrome both ends). I wanted the chrome bumper car. It apears to be a converted 73 to 72. I wonder if i should get a correct one to restore. Will it kill the value if I sell it later. I'm not doing it as an investment but, I don't want to loose a bunch of $$ do to this situation.

If you want a "correct one" to restore-this ain't it, unless you're going to "put it back correct". You could just drive it this way, cruise it & enjoy it the way it is. I know I'd pass on putting a good sum of money into this car. I was at a car show last year with my Orange '74 & a guy there also had a '74. His car had a '75-'79 front clip on it('75-'79 front bumper was the giveaway)and when I told asked him why it had this clip on it, he got real defensive, said his car is original this, original that , but when I showed him my car-he asked why MINE is different . I said I don't mean to be rude, but YOURS is the one that's "different" He said he's owned the car over 6yrs & NOBODY has ever pointed that out before.
It's situations like this that MAY happen to you, ESPECIALLY when you try to sell it-after all, look how confused you had all of us
