Noisy or Quiet Timing Chain?
Do they get old in a hurry? Are they annoying? Does it make it harder to hear any potential motor problems??
The last question, I would submit, is the most important issue... It seems to make it harder to hear problems, when they come up. If you want it to sound like it's running a blower, then put on a blower, and get the added power that comes with it...
So, do you really NEED it? IF you are going for high-RPM horsepower, where you are running close to detonation, where spark-scatter is an issue and the timing must be perfect, than I would say to get gear-drive for your engine...
For anything else, I would suggest a good double-roller timing chain, and save your extra money for head-work, or put it towards a good roller-cam setup...
Just my $.02

I probably wont run another one. Like the earlier posts, if you want whine, get a blower!
My .02, from someone who has run one.
