'69 Keys/Locks Question

'69 Keys/Locks Question
When I bought the '69 L46, Seller said 'one key operates everyting'. Well, I have done some investigating and there appears to be a second key for the glove box locks and the alarm lock on the rear panel. Was he pulling my leg? If so, are these hard/expensive to replace/re-key?

On mine the key for the alarm is a little "Brigg's & Stratton" key. It's different from the ignition/door and glove box keys.
One of these days I'm going to make that alarm work.

The square GM key works the ignition and doors. The round GM key works the glove box and spare tire lock.
There are different "keyways" on the GM round and square keys. The keyway is stamped onto the key, A, B, C, etc. Don't have my JG handy, but there is only one keyway that will work on 69 locks, unless the locks have been modified or changed. Chuck

All, Thanks for the good info. I'll go get a few blanks at the NCRS meet this weekend (if they have them!).
Info on the Ignition/Door lock key and the Glove box/spare tire keys from the owners manual:
Key with square head and letter 'E' operate the Ignition/Door locks
Key with round head and letter 'H' operate the spare tire lock and rear compartment glove box.
I'll also look into the Briggs and Stratton key at the NCRS this weekend; perhaps I can find a blank for that too.
I know a locksmith that owes my brother-in-law a few favors (he stayed with free rent when he first moved down this way) and he can probably set me up for a good price on the spare/glove box lock.
