79 Steering Wheel 3/4 Spokes?
I have a 79 with A four spoke steering wheel. Someone called it a Corvair wheel. What's up with that. Did the factory install 4 and 3 spoke steering wheels on 79 Vettes?

my '79 has 4 spokes. i am the second owner,the original owner told me that thats the way it came when he bought it. i like the different look of the 4 spoke, it allows a better view of the gauges,etc. thx, jim...

According to the 78-79 NCRS judging manual, the 3 spoke wheel is standard with the tilt-tele column and the 4 spoke is standard with the non tilt column. Also the 4 spoke is only covered with grained vinyl and not leather.
