For what you are doing I would think it would be a requirement to upgrade your fuel system. You might think about an electronic fuel pump. Look in Summitt or other vendors, there are several higher than stock volume mechanical pumps available. As far as a return line, you can run a regulator which is probably a good idea anyway.

Yes, you need a very good fuel delivery system. As part of this system, I recommend running a return side pressure regulator. This type of pressure regulator holds fuel pressure by constantly bleeding off excessive fuel to the return line, much like the system on the old Hilborn injection units. You install it at the tail end of your carb fuel inlet log, and it keeps fuel circulating through your log and back to the tank at all times.

Where do you buy this regulator and how do you set the presure on it?
