I heard stories of solid motor mounts turning the middle drivers side cylinder bores to ovals.
I am no expert but i would go with poly mounts with backup chains to the frame on the drivers side, or if you need the solid connection then a front motor plate. I have poly mounts on my 505 bb and am attaching chains before it leaves the garage.
I have VB&P safety mounts on my car. They have the rubber insulator, but they are designed to stay together with a steel surround in the remote chance the rubber seperates. http://www.vbandp.com/detail.aspx?ID=618
