update on my LS1 problem

My ses light was on for a while, the idle speed was a little unstable and returned only slowly back to 600rpm idle speed.... I thought it's the oxygen sensors, the injectors or maybe something more expensive....
Today I finally found the problem:
There is a short hose (approximately 1.5" long) between the vacuum tubing that goes to the idle air control motor under the throttle body. The guys at chevy obviously tried to safe some pennies on the material (I believe it was rubber at some time). It deteriorated and hardened. I found a hole in this hose, about 1/4" diameter... unmetered air entered the manifold, the air/fuel mixture was way too lean, the computer tried to correct for it and added fuel and so on.... as soon as I touched the hose it broke in pieces
Fortunately I had some hose in my garage...
I installed a new hose (better quality, $1 per foot from AutoZone
and now it runs better than ever before...

Post some pics of that bad boy...
Bud, I catch myself doing the same thing sometimes. Once replaced the injector nozzles on a Perkins when the air filter was clogged.
OK, I probably shouldn't admit stuff like that.
