Default Will I fit?

Kind of a stupid question. I have an appointment to see a 1982 Corvette in 2 weeks. However, I've not driven one of these cars since I was in High School. I'm 6'3", 250 lbs; will I fit? I just don't want to waste my time or the owners if it's not going to work.

I am 5'7" not that large, hubby is 6'3 and a little bigger than you. We both fit fine in our 78. More room in it than is in my98 Camaro. He HATES getting in it and refuses to ride in it most of the time. Good luck with it. Honestly, you never know until you try.

I am 6'3' 250 as well. I have a 73 4 speed with a non tilt column. I had to take the door pull off the door in order to get my foot up high enough to push in the clutch. It is a very tight fit that you will get used to. I have heard that the later C3s have more room so you may not have a problem I believe I am going to get a small steering wheel in order to accommodate all my mass.

I'm 6'3" and 275, I fit fine in my 81 and all the 82's I've sat in. You're not going to be able to change clothes with the door closed but you'll be fine for driving.

I think you'll run into more problems with width than height. I'm just under six ft. but have wide shoulders. It feels like I have to lean kind of sideways in my 75.

I can't understand that..........I have a 1973 T-Top 4-speed, with stock steering wheel. I'm 6'4" and about 230. My knees a little tight on the left side but other than that I fit fine. Hek I'm even comfortable going to the coast, about a 2.5 hour ride, twisting turnig road, I just get physical with it!

You should be okay. I'm 6'4" and used to be 220lbs and fit, but now I'm a lanky 175lbs... it's roomy!

I agree. Redo your seats in a '73 with new foam and you feel like you're sitting right up on the windshield... But worth it! Maybe the later seats give more room, don't know...

I am 6'6". 230lbs.

I think us big guys "wear corvettes" not drive them. Having said that I would rather be in my Vette then any other car I have driven.
