Seems autozone is the cheapest. Unfortunately it also seems alot of thier cores leak, then you need to remove and trade it in for another.

My recommendation would be to buy the rebuilt calipers with the stainless steel pistons and o-rings. Some of our forum vendors sell these calipers. (Actually you have the option not to buy rebuilds, you still buy all new.)

The stainless steel pistons and o-rings are very durable. Autozone mayh be a lot cheaper, but I think the upgraded technology sold by some of our forum vendors will be actually the cheapest in the long run.

I've heard nothing but good things about Vette Brakes and Products, although I've never personally had experience with them. May want to check them out, maybe they're having a sale?

My calipers were sleeved and i purchased the o-ring kit from vbp with great results. The rears looked like they had been replaced at one time, however i think my fronts were origionals. They work great, i couldn't be happier.

Try some of the higher technology, higher quality parts sold by some of our forum vendors. I won't recommend Autozone. Try Vette Brake Products. (Vbandp.com).

I have the AutoZone calipers and they are fine. $250 for all four incl. life time warranty.....

I was lucky, several other members posted that they had to return theirs several times to get a set of four good calipers...

The main reason I bought at AutoZone was the core charge ... I was wondering if my cores were rebuildable...heck, I didn't know if they were or not... I just wanted to avoid the trouble so I took my old calipers to the store when I bought the new ones - no core charge, no additional shipping, no waiting, and thank god no trouble (so far)...

I wanted to keep my original calipers due to serial number issues. Muskegon rebuilt my originals for $20 more. They came back like new and I have had absolutely no problems with them.

If they are sleeved, just get the VBP Oring kit and do it yourself.
It is currently on sale (I think).

I believe that's about what you pay at VBP for the O-ring version...... most, if not all rebuilt calipers are ss sleeved and come with pistons...
