Not sure how picky you want to be, but as far as "wrong" (aka "incorrect," not criticizing the car)- the most obvious thing under the hood is the blue wires. Get some black ones and buy a distributor cover/shielding and it will impriove the engine compartment in a hurry. The "Corvette" sticker on the fan shround can go too.

Only thing obvious on the body is the sidepipes.

Car looks really pretty. Like the colors.

Right/wrong for NCRS? I'll give it a try.

outside:
1. The sidepipes (obviously)
2. The running boards look different, but might just be the photo.
3. Side grilles look like the chrome is painted.

In the engine compartment I can see
1. the wiper motor mount has been painted black along with some other pieces
2. ignition shielding is missing
3. plug wires
4. clips for vacuum advance missing
5. cad plating on wiper door actuator is gone or it has been painted silver
6. master cylinder replaced and should be black
7. water pump replaced...aluminum or unpainted?
8. 1970 style air cleaner
9. breather added to valve covers and nothing on air cleaner base
10. valve covers
11. steel fuel line looks to be cut with rubber hose added.
12. alternator replaced
13. belt style
14. Corvette piece on the fan shroud.
15. Can't see the windshield washer hoses, but may be darkness of the photo in that area.
16. A.I.R is missing

Hard to see it all with just one engine picture, but there is some strange routing going on over by the brake booster...easy to fix up.

I wouldn't nit-pick this car, it looks like it is very nice. These are just the things that I would change. A lot can be done with just an investment of time. Good luck with your new toy, keep the pictures coming.

I see no reason to keep the price a secrete. I bought this Vette for $14,500 against an asking price of $15,500. (found it here on CF)
$390 for a one way U-Haul trailer,
$225 in Diesel fuel,
$100 one night at the Comfort Inn
$ 44. for dog in kennel for 2 days
$ 90 for meals.
$ 849. Total (I could have had it shipped for $500 - maybe next time)

Should have added what looks right, which is pretty much everything else.
From what the pictures show, the interior looks really nice. The price was definitely right.

1. Radiator shroud looks right
2. Frigidaire AC compressor
3. One outside rear-view mirror
4. Orientation of the distributor/vacuum advance (#2 plug a little off center facing forward as it should be.
5. Chrome looks good, especially the window corners
6. The vacuum advance metal tube is there.

Drblue,

Congrats on your purchase. The white and blue are very sharp together. Personally I wouldn't pay for the sidepipes to be added, but since they are on there, they look great.

Just have passengers watch for them while exiting the car. They can be nasty on the legs.

Are all of the above in the NCRS manual?

Those sidepipes are dangerous and make it difficult to get in and out. Sound's great though and it's most likely what turns heads.

I was told they were just put on about a month ago or so. If this was a NOM car I would think about keeping them on (if there is a shield cover of some kind). I'm going to look into selling them - if there is interest.

Most everything is in the NCRS judging guide, it is a valuable resource for checking out what is correct for your car.

Niecely done I have been out of Country and just catching up now that I am back. You did very well with this purchase and the car looks very nice. I remember you saying you wanted something you and your son could work on together and this looks exactly like a great car for that work and rehabilitation. Let me know if I can be of any help to you from over here in Easton, be glad to help.
Best regards and again congratulations.

I bought these Steel Sheilds, best investment for me on the side pipes. They are very nice indeed and stop the burns. Easy to install and reasonable cost.

(My son Adam taking car for a spin - he is a Navy special forces veteran that got out in July of 2008 and I bought the red 77 for him and me to work on).

You'll save the money by not having to by Neo Sporin by the case if you get the burn on your leg. My wife burned hers, not good.
Good luck with your new prize.
