Somebody asked about the trailer I use to transport Sparty. It can be purchased too if you want the matched set.

You would have to PM me with interest and we could discuss a "haul it away in style" price if you wish.

Thanks for looking.

Sparty earned his Varsity Letter from Michigan State and proudly wears it on his one and only cover.

I took it off to clean and went under the hood. Not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but a good base to work from. Those exhaust manifolds could be nicer.

And I will supply the show boards with the car purchase as well. Lots to share in data with the car.

Wow David.....
The inside of your trailer is nicer than the trailer I lived in when I was in the Marines. 1971 single wide Peachtree 72' long no heat used to open the electric range in the winters: rofl: for heat.
Hope you find that special buyer soon.
That car deserves the "right buyer" for sure.

Yes sir, thank you. I will not sell this car to anyone that does not come and look at it with me so I can share exactly what has been done to bring this car back from the ruins. You know, I hear feedback at times that by having replaced the front surround with an after market Ecklers unit I destroyed the authenticity of the car. Also, and nothing is more important to me than full disclosure as those that know me understand to be the only way I operate, the rear end restoration of a previously flawed restoration, the repair and rebuilding of a rotten birdcage, and the restoration and replacement of the front end of Sparty makes this car, in my estimation, far more valuable than one that has just removed parts, painted parts, and put the parts back on an already original car. Only one man's opinion here but when you have to take a damaged and rotten car back to stock dimensions and better than stock quality you learn a little something about the issues with these cars. Take the seat belts for example. Nice to have the original ones but those are not near as nice as the new ones and not nearly as safe. Even if I retained the existing seat belts I would replace them with new webbing because todays webs are much stronger than those of the late 60's and early 70's. Sparty has been improved while staying as close to stock as I could to maintain his appearance.

There will be no surprises with this car to a buyer. I have had it appraised and it is insured to its full value of $35,000, be glad to show prospective buyers all the documentation too that comes with the car.

Interested parties can set up an appointment to come and see Sparty and get a full look on, and off the lift. No surprises, no white lies, just a nice car at a good price for someone to enjoy for years to come.

If you hear anything, from anyone here on the forum in a PM that indicates anything negative about this car please let me know and I will have it addressed.

Thank you.

David Howard

I wanted to go, just could not get myself and Sparty ready in time. Too much stuff going on here in the home presently, hope to have it under control by the end of the month.

If you can make Vettes for Pets in Easton in August I hope to see many of you there. Might even bring the racer to that show, time will tell.
Best regards,
David

Back on the market. Can deliver within 250 miles of my home, Easton, PA 18045 or can deliver to Carlisle the end of the month.

Time for Sparty to find a new home. To clarify, Sparty is a nickname for the car and it has no markings on the car deter it from the original Brands Hatch Green with Green interior restored to the original colors.

Best regards and thanks for looking.

Ohhhh I want this car, bad timing though.
Do you have a video of a recent cold start up and exhaust sound ( idle lope )
Did you get all the bugs worked out and paint defects taken care of to your usual high standards ?
Andy

I have not taken a video of the cold start up. Starts up nicely though. Lope is nice too with that mild cam we put in the car. Anyone wanting to consider the car has to come look at it in person, only way to make an informed decision.

My standards are high, true.

The original engine is a 350/270 so the mild cam may have added a little to that, maybe 280-285. Carb is an after market, original comes with the car. Plenty of gumption for the car. I have it lowered to the ground now and will see if I can document a cold start.

This should be fun to try, never done it before.

Lets see if this works.

And yes that is my head in the car with my son Adam doing the video work.

I hope you find it helpful.
