Default 1969-1972 Corvette

Looking to buy a 69'-72' Corvette. Any color is fine as long as the car is in good condition (i.e. no rust, everything is stock). Am located in Southern Cali but if I fall in love with a car I would be willing to ship it here as well.
Only thing I am looking for is that at minimum it must be manual, and convertible. Prefer a soft top but T-top is fine too!

Please send pics and detailed info on the car.
Thanks in advance

I considered a T-top to be convertible, although that is not what it really means. My mistake!

That is not a mistake...it converts from a coupe to sun on your head. When you remove the rear window, it blows your hair around real good as well...that is, if you still have hair on your head.

The die-hard "convertible" fans on this forum though will go to any length to protect their "convertibles are more valuable" perception. Do yourself a favor, buy a coupe and don't pay more for nothing...which is what you have when the rag top is tucked away.

A t top (coupe ) is not a convertible ...look on your title

There n is a difference in feel and looks....

Value depend on the car ..not the top..

Having owned 5 C-3's in the past.4 t-tops and 1 roadster. The one I most regret selling was a'72 base 4sp roadster 47k original miles. Check the #'s manufactured WAY more t-tops than roadsters. Ditto autos vs 4sp. Yes, there is WAY more demand for the roadsters and they WILL bring more $. Ditto 4sp vs auto. 2 cars: #1 '72 LT-1 coupe 27k original, all options(no A/C) NOM but original block and smog equipment included. #2 '72 roadster 47K original. Base 350 4sp no options (had to add power steering) both cars were Warbonnet yellow. Advertised both at the same time at $17,500. Calls were 25 to 1 about the roadster. Hmmm.. True story from years ago. Drive a roadster vs T-top,there is NOTHING like an open car(roadster) Plus 3-4" more headroom with the roadster vs T-tops with top up and t-tops in place.

So T-tops and autos were more desirable back when they were ordered and built, but something changed and now they are less desirable than convertibles and 4 speeds? You just confirmed that perceptions change. The "when the top goes down the price goes up" is currently a popular phrase that when repeated often enough, people begin to accept it as truth. Scarcity when combined with demand will drive the price up, but not forever.
