I used to have a 95 Vette coupe I sold not too long ago. I was having a discussion with my father in law who used to have a mint 67. I can't remember how many quarts of oil my 95 LT1 took. I thought it was a bit more then the usual 5 quarts most cars have. He also said that the lt1 motor came out in 71 or so. Is this true?

My 96' holds ~5 1/2 q of oil, he is correct the original LT1 came out in the C3 generation, thats not my specialty generation but it was sometime around there, don't know the specs on it though, maybe someone who does will chime in
