I finally got the wheels turning and started the winter projects.
First one is remove all bose and replace with something from this millenium
Then i will be ready for the poly bushing project

Don't know if you paid attention or not, but you have a lot of moisture on the ground inside your portable tent. As the snow melts during the warm days of winter and it gets trapped in that tent thing, you'll be wishing you just left your car out of doors. I'd suggest leaving a vent opening and run some sort of circulation fan in there. The moisture has to evaporate or you'll notice corrosion start up on everything metal, like alternator, etc. Not a pretty picture.
Same here. (the igloo on the left is my vette and right is my camaro) 24 inches of snow and a temperature in the negatives last week makes todays 36F feel tropical.

I just started on my bushing install tonight. Took the entire front suspension out.
Getting these old bushings off is going to be a bitch. They're fused to the aluminum. When the control arm rotates, it tears the bushing internally rather than sliding on it.
I've had the parts sittin around awhile and today decided what the hell, lets start unbolting ****. If you need any advice on it, gimme a ring. Have fun figuring out how to get the passenger side upper a-arm.

Good point, thanks. I think i will leave the far end open somewhat to vent.
CentralCoaster - the tool you need is a torch. Melt those bastards out.
Actually the tool you need is a shop press. It'll stink a whole lot less and doesn't run the risk of changing the crystal structure of the aluminum with the torch. Remember that piece of aluminum has very specific properties for that application.

Dan, its a piece of cake! You have the know how to press those bushings out. If I can do it all with a 4 inch bench vise, a bunch of deep sockets and a 1 1/2 to 1/2 pipe reducer...... So can you.
I miss the excitement and suspense of last years garage. Now what do we bet on!?
+7 C....Maybe they should add a Tour event for late Jan in the great white north. At least make it interesting, I'm tired of seeing the guys go 20+ under for 4 days. I do like Leornard though, so I'm happy he found his way back to the top.
