I wouldn't compare the Optima to a Cavalier - it's a lot more car. Heck before I bought my '02 Maxima SE (at 15k miles), I seriously considered a new Optima. Dang nice cars (for a daily driver)

Not to mention they had a relatively long run and lots of cars were produced.

And so far I don't see that value dropping anytime soon.
