Default C4 Prices Really Dropping?

Was just looking through Ebay...saw several Collector's Editions for under $14,000 and they were in damn nice shape. Other nice deals out there too on various sites.

Seems that C4 prices are really taking a hit. How long do you think this will go on?

As someone close to being in the market for a C4, "worry" isn't the word I'd use to describe my feelings about it.

Yep, I'd agree there

Bought my mint condition, one owner, almost every RPO, 1988 Convertble for $8800 from Ebay and I couldn't be happier.

The only time that a falling value affects you is when you come to sell it and I can't imagine why anyone would want to sell a C4

You would think that since prices are low, parts would be lower, too. Fat chance

Yeah c4 and c5 prices have dropped lately but you got to remember you're looking on ebay, cars on ebay won't bring what they would if someone were to buy it in person. Sometimes the top bids on 67 verts will only be at like 30k it will not sell since it's like a 50k dollar car so don't go by ebay.

As long as you aren't selling, it's no big deal.

It's great for buyers though.

We probably won't see them going up until the C7 comes out.

The C5 is where the C4 was 8 years ago.

The C3's are starting to rise finally, bargains are harder to find on those gems.

C4 is definitely the place to look for high performance on a low budget.

When they become antiques (30 years old) and are scarcer than now. Heck, there are still C4's that are DD's! And there really isn't that much to differentiate them from the new models as opposed to how a 60's Vette is so different.

Remember this, you DO NOT invest in a depreciating asset!
you buy one, enjoy it, and maybe if you are lucky, you'll have one of them that becomes collectable, and then in demand.

And that's my .02 TY

I'll probably end up giving mine to my dad and buying a Callaway or maybe ZR1 some time in the future before they start going up.

True enough. The late 70's and early 80's cost a lot to get them to peform like their earlier brothers.
