Man, that looks great.

Black is one of those love/hate colours, when it looks good I don't think there is a better colour, but if not properly maintained black can be a nightmare. You and Mr. Clay Bar have done a nice job. Hey, I just bought a clay bar (have never used it before)_ to do my 91. Any suggestions, special techniques, etc.?

Dude, is it just the picture, or do you REALLY need new rubber?

Thanks. When using the clay bar, do a small area at a time and keep it well lubercated with a detailer. I used the Z6 detailer. Which clay bar do you have? Depending on the size, use only half at a time.

As far as the tires go, they're not as bad as they look in the picture, but it is time for new rubber. I planning on ordering a new set of Kumhos here pretty soon, just trying to decide which ones.

If you haven't tried, Griot's Garage sells a product called Speed Shine, and it works phenominally well. It would work perfectly if used in conjunction with a clay bar. If you get bird droppings or anything (dirt related) that you want removed from your paint, Speed Shine is the answer.

If any other forum members have tried Speed Shine, what do you think about it?

Ya, know I tried the clay bar 10 years ago and its time consuming.
Haven't used it in years. I use 3M clear coat rubbing compound applied by hand its a lot faster and does a much better job.

The clay bar is a compound mixed with a clay and its really a very light cleaner.
The compound used by hand will not cut the paint it just cleans years of neglect. It removes ring stratches under the door handles, light scraps, paint rubs, etc.

That black car sure looks good though. Is that a Callaway?
And you do need tires.

Thanks and yes it is a Callaway. Just ordered new tires from Tire Rack last night, should be here by the middle of the week and on by next weekend.

Just waxed my car today also. Took her out, let her stretch her legs a bit. Took her to a car wash, and waxed her up nicely and put her in the garage with the cover. Yes, very relaxing.

I'll take a few pictures when I pull her out of the garage.
