Just accidently found a 96 lt-4 six speed, polo green, tan interior, with 54,000 miles. It has been repainted, job cost 5600.00 and am told it looks perfect. It was not from an accident it was keyed in a parking lot. Interior is about a 8 out of 10. I know limited info but any idea's what it might be worth. It is a nice stock car. Know it does not mean that much but it has a clean carfax. Any help or idea's would be appreciated before I go look at it. It is a two owner car.
I remeber years ago the book added just 800.00 I'm sure it's less by now. Problem is books mean squat since the "the book" won't sell or buy a car. Market is the determining factor, No one will take just 800.00 more for a LT4 over an LT1 car. It's up to you if the price sounds good to you than it is. If it sounds high than keep walking.
I'd have a good body guy check the paint job out. I'd also put her up on a lift and have a good look for oil leaks and other possible problems with the frame. If this Vette checks out clean and runs good, I think a LT4 is a good deal with hard top and good soft top for 15K-16K. But everything has to work and no bad smells (as in flooded Vette)
