Default my paint update

well i spent the day at the body shop today. it is always good when you know the body men and they let you put a hand in on your vette.

this is about 11:00 this morning,

this is about 2:00 this afternoon,

we finished around 6:30 this evening,

well now it will cure for the rest of the weekend then he will take the day monday and be buffing her out to a high shine. Tuesday she will get put back together with her new weatherstripping and new front air dam. Then the big day wednesday i pick her up just in time for our club meeting at 6:00. I will post the final update wednesday of her fully assembled and buffed

Gosh between you and Steel Blue, and your new paint jobs I'm envious. Both look really sharp.

Is it normal process to paint the hood off the vehicle?
Is that bondo on the drives door or some other kind of repair material?

BONDO! no it needed repaired where it got hit he used some kind of fiberglass repair stuff. i dont know what it was called but i do know that **** was hard. what you see in the pic is primer. i dont know if it is normal process but my hood is new so he had to paint all the edges. but if you notice he pulled off everything so he could get in the cracks real good, the corvette is not a easy car to repaint if done correctly. but he is doing an excellent job and i am happy i have someone working on the vette that is so meticulous

Man

that gives me goosebumps! there's something about seeing your car take on a brand new skin! there is SOO much work involved to make it look like yours does!

She's going to be one beautiful ride!!! The paint looks like it's going to be a mile deep! Please post some completed pics.

VERY NICE!!!!
