Default My Corsa System Delayed (Rant)

I ordered a Corsas cat back system from Mid America last Saturday. I complained about the price increase, so they gave me free shipping. They shipped two boxes on Monday.

One box containing the mufflers arrived today. The box containing the pipes and other hardware arrived in Dallas (200 miles away) yesterday. It arrived in Denver at 2:15pm today. I called Fedex and they said it was human error. Sorry, theyll have it to me on Monday. I asked if they could re-route it and send it air, since it was their error. They responded that it was already on a truck and they couldnt do anything about it. I had help lined up to install it on Saturday. Grrrrrrr!!!!!!

I called Mid America to see if they could help. They couldnt but offered to refund my shipping cost. When she realised that I hadnt paid shipping, she offered me a $25 gift certicate. At least that helps to ease the pain a little bit.

Well that was nice of Mid A since it wasn't even their fault. I've had the shippers mis-route something before causing a long delay. It pisses me off too, especially since they're not interested in busting their *** to get it to you in the absolute quickest way once they realize their mistake. Justified rant!

Rest assured it is easy to do it yourself if it comes to that. I did mine with no help except to have my wife check once in a while to make sure the car hadn't fallen on me. (Edit - she also helped move the stock system around. Dang thing is heavy.)

Mine were used, so I had some difficulty getting them on because the tube ends had sprung back into the clamped position. The job took some extra time because I had to go find a tool to spread them back apart, and make a trip to buy a new O2 sensor.

It would have been more fun to have someone else around, though.

FedEx is cheaper, but their internal controls suck.

I had a problem with my LTCC module last summer and had to send it off to Bob for repair. He FedEx'd it back for a Saturday delivery. Well... They don't do saturday delivery in my old town! But they could deliver it to the nearest FedEx terminal for pickup... that happened to be in Dover, 3 miles away. But did they know that Dover and Wyoming were that close? NO. Morons.

I got the module on Monday...

I ordered mine Saturday and received it all today.. luckey I guess. But I had to pay for shipping. I asked why the price increase and they said the Catalog was old. I just received it the week before. anyway I got the exhaust. Now need it to stop snowing so I can put it on.. the waiting is going to kill me..

Well look at it this way. The build up and anticipation will be higher when you turn the key and here those mothers fire for the first time. See if your installer will start it for you wile your at the back of the car.

Yup. Oh well. We can install two exhausts in one day.

VetteNoob is buying my current exhaust. Its actually a very nice exhaust, just a little bit loud and irritating for my wife. Call my crazy, but I like my wife to like my car and enjoy riding in it with me.

I don't call that crazy, I love to have my wife like riding with me too. But I do wish I could afford a Corsa, perhaps someday. Sound clips when you get her done would be really nice.

That's awful nice of MA to offer you concessions, though. That just goes to show what kind of company they are...one that I definitely will continue to do business with!

I think my wife will actually like the change to Magnaflows from my Flowmasters. It will probably be a little quieter to boot.

$899 is the correct price. Their latest catalog still has it for the old price of $799.

I agree. I told the lady that gave me the gift certificate that I was going on line to say bad things about fed ex customer service. Whe was very concerned that I didnt say anything negative about MA. That shows they care what their customer say and think about them. Theyre a good outfit!
