Interstate Battery Update
This morning Saturday, I took the battery to a Interstate retailer here in suburban Detroit after calling first. When I got there, I was told, "Oh, I thought you wanted to buy a new battery, I don't know anything about an exchange. You can leave it here, and talk to the manager on Monday, or buy a new one now and let him figure out how to get your money back."
So my wonderful 7 month old Interstate battery is sitting there waiting for Monday to come. Sure glad I wasn't stuck on the road.
The saga will continue.

Personally, I never had much luck with Interstate batteries. They always seemed to die very quickly. I never got more than 1-2 years out of them. So now, I only use Sears gold Die-Hard.
