Looked like a C5, wheels look like magnesium rims. Plus the rear does not look like the crash support of a C4.

I hate to see it. We have all been guilty of finding out our top speeds and going way to fast. I hope this helps us keep it at the speed limit.

Too many drivers think a sports car will carry them through anything. I hope I never lose respect for my ride that that way. Fear is a good thing at times.
To be honest anytime I've ever driven fast I've always had the feeling something bad was about to happen. There's just too many things that can wrong at high speed.

The broadcast made sure to mention it was a Corvette.
If it were a Mercedes or Caddy, the writers would've scripted it: "A late model car" or "A sedan".

I was on that stretch of highway less than a half hour before that crash. It is a long straight away right there and there were no cars on the highway. I had a hard time holding back the speed too. I guess its a good thing I did.

Man... that is right by where I work, I pass that stretch often, too. Too bad... best wishes to his family.
