i normaly do most stuff my self but these plugs look like a pain,i have a 93 with lt1 does any one have a write up on replacing the plugs
thanks for the help
I bought a plug socket and a geared wrench off ebay, made specifically for the LT1. Socket and wrench both new $29.95. I'll find his user name and give it to you. Has them on there most of the time.
I just changed the plugs on my 95 Coupe with the LT1 engine. They are not easy to get to but they can be done. I forget what the plug number is but the back plug on the passenger side is a bear to get to.
I used a spark plug wrench with a wrench fitting cut into the socket on the end and got it out, It took me approximately four hours to do the eight plugs. plus another four for the plug wires. good luck
I agree, the shortened plug socket works well.
Use it in combination with a swivel head gear wrench and you're set !
In a pinch it will work with a normal open ended wrench

Man, theres just some things that I'm too smart or too stupid to do and a plug change on a LT-1 is one of them. It cost me $75.00 labor + parts.
