I.E. If you're really looking for garage space and a new car, I have a friend who's looking to purchase a clean C4 (or other cars, he's looking at 928s/944s too). Let me know. : )
Thanks for the generous notion but the C4 is the only one that I dont want to sell, it has a lot of miles (128) and it is my DD.

Coincidently I went to look at what I thought was a nice 911 a few weeks ago. The car was trashed, the owner had let his teenager drive it around for a while, silk purse ---> cows ear.

I was wondering what to do with my tax refund?!?! But it will take months before I get that. So,

In lieu of the actual cash...I will be willing to sacrifice a garage full of parts that you can use toward the construction of your dream car. I've got an air foil, a cut-filter, a partial set of slightly used spark plug wires, a stock 90 exhaust system, etc. that I can ship COD to your not-profit for a fair market value receipt of a grand or so.

If all of us here help you out we can probably come up with 75 percent of the parts you need to live a full life again.

Thanks for the very generous offer, I am saddend to to have to decline however. You see if I accept another stock exhaust I would obviously be putting my "not for profit" declaration in jeopardy.

I have a 91 stock exhaust in my garage now that doesnt seem to please my wife to much, I thinking about hanging it from the ceiling until I get around to using it.

I am sorry to have upset you so with my whines of misery, I just thought I could safley share my woes with you guys and you would understand.

I'm just curious... because I'll donate...but I gotta know what kind of floor mats you are getting
No floor mats, the speed that I plan to be travlin in this baby I couldnt crack a window if I had mats, the vortex would pull them right out.

If there will be no floor mats, then I gotta know, before I donate, if you'll be using real hardwood or one of those pergo type floating floors? I think real hardwood will add value to the car, whereas the floating floor might be easier to maintain... but since it can be easily removed, doesn't really add value.

Hey Ed, did you ever think of running for a political office, like maybe the U.S Congress.

Default Proof of my honorable intentions

I sense that some of you feel that my intentions are less and honorable.

As a gesture of good will and to get the ball rolling I have decided to donate my 81 to the cause. (I'll need the garage space anyway)

The first $10,000.00 I receive for this car will be deposited into the "Build Ed a Supercar" fund account.

When was the last time you donated your hard earned cash to the United Way and got anything but a mass produced thank you note? Your donations to those orgs all spent on overhead, at "Build Ed a Supercar" we have zero overhead (I'm even using this free forum to avoid the need of licking stamps), all donations go straight to my pocket and then to lingenfelter (once the $45K) is raised. Until that time I promise to periodically update you all with the progress of this very worthy cause.
You got to hand it to him, this is some of the funniset stuff I have ever read. Think about writing for TV or Movies this is really good stuff.

I appreciate your ability to understand the serious nature of this discussion; as a fellow Corvette enthusiast you obviously understand the great lengths that gear-heads like us will go to obtain the perfect Vette.

So what should I put you down for?

BTW:
Would you consider taking part in our proposed fund raiser and sell a few thousand boxes of “Vette Scout Cookies”? The top seller will win a no expense paid trip to Bowling Green to behold the birth place of our cars.

Default Hey Why Not

I still have a few hundred boxes of "Vette Scout Cookies" left over from the last fund raiser I joined. Tried to eat the leftovers but can't quite get pass the Mobil 1 shortning they put in them. My dog loves to bury them outside with the rest of her stuff.

Geeez e-hodges, that is great, you are such a guy. It makes me want to run out and sell one of mine so I can be a part of this great effort you are doing for all of us here. Or not.

No need for you to feel any pity for me although the gesture is appriciated. I realize what a noble cuase this and have opted to forgoe any self pity so the fact that your are offering sympathy due to the misfortune of a fellow C4 vette owner is good enough for me.

Can I put you down for , say,.....100 boxes of "vette scout cookies" then.

Please keep in mind that this years cookies contain the "NEW" Mobil 1 so they must be better.
