Well the market sucks for sellers right now. Plus you limit your buyers becuase of the mod's.. I would say you are going to have a hard time selling it. You will be lucky to get $14 for it, maybe the right person might give you $16k tops.

if i were you, i'd try with an asking price of:

current private value of your vette without mods + 20% value of mods (parts only).

you've only driven it 1500 miles since rebuild? i agree, try to keep her for a good while yet and enjoy the fruits of your labor that list looks impressive, if i had the $$ i would love to have your LT4

Wow, you did it right. Nice car. For the right person it would sell.
Illegal here. Advertize it right thats the trick.

Personally I'd rather have your car than a stock one.

You did a great job.

Wait till you find the right buyer, someone who appreciates the work you put into it.

Take your time, wait till you get a good price.

I would guess 10k for this car it looks very nice and I'm sure the rebuild and mods are nicely done but If I were looking for a car and I saw where it had been rebuilt at only 102k miles I would not be interested + I wouldn't buy a modded car.

Even if it was bone stock its a coupe, standard seats it does have the lt4 option that helps if the buyer is wanting a 6sp anyway, and the miles hurt it a lot so if stock it would get about 13.5k maybe.

I think it's a nice looking ride sohang on to it and enjoy it... maybe in 5 years sell it for a c6?

Thanks for the reply's.....I was hoping to fetch at least $18K.

The engine was strong before the rebuild however I did have the usual oil leaks. The whole rebuild started when I decided to do the hotcam and fix the leaks then I caught a bad case of the "might as wells" and the rest is history.

If the time ever came, I would piece mine out. I've got close to $60K in mine over the last 10 years and couldn't get $15k for it right now if I were to sell. Hell, my engine cost almost that much, and the brakes were another $5k.

So I would piece out the motor, the ZF trans, the rear end, the brakes, the Accusump, oil cooler, Be-Cool radiator, lines and fittings, MSD, Headers, exhaust, Wheels/Tires, Camber Brace, roll bar, harnesses, shocks and FX3 components, and on an on. Then you still have all the body pieces.

I say screw 'em! Everybody wants something for nothing...

There is an old saying, "You do the mods for you, not a future owner".

I have done the mods for me, but that doesn't mean I need to take a bath on what I have in the car because the market says this car is only worth $10K. These cars are worth more pieced out than they are sold as a whole.

I wouldn't have any trouble parting mine out if it came to that... it's no collector car, has no history and it evidently isn't worth much to anyone else!

Yeah, it's going to come down to finding the right buyer at the right time. someone that's already looking for a modded car. I certainly understand the hesitation someone might have purchasing a suped up car. I had the same concerns, this car was bone stock when I bought it two years ago, in fact the cags was even still hooked up.

True the right buyer will have to come along to buy it but you said atleast 18k? that just won't happen not for no modified coupe. I hope you get as much as possible for it but 18k is something for like a nice low mile stock convertible will run right now not a moddified base coupe.

Look, if I were you I'd put a price on it that reflects what you think it is worth. I sold an 11 second Nova SS. There are a number of people who want faster cars who don't have the connections or knowledge to build one, but will buy one already done. Maintanence is the only problem for them

I can assume you had the short block completely freshened when you built the 355, so it really doesn't have 100K miles on the rotating assembly (or does it??).

Just because some people say they won't pay for a car with mods, doesn't mean there are people who won't. There is more to this hobby than buying and selling bone stock cars.

Since spring is coming, put a price on it and be very detailed in what care was taken to update the car. You won't get 50 calls, but there is a market for this stuff - just not at the actual cost you have in it.

Yep...the entire rotating assembly was replaced, my only regret is that I didn't stroke it.
