Im thinking about tinting the windows on my '94. Im leaning toward tinting all three windows with the back one being alot darker than the sides, my car is all white w/ black interior so I think that'll look good. Basically if anyone has any opinions on whether I should tint all three windows, just the back one, or if anyone thinks I shouldnt tint it at all, please do tell.
Basically do what you feel like doing. I have a 96 and I am thinking of tinting the windows to match that of my smoked targa top. I might do it a little darker to protect my black carpet. I have seen vette windows with them tinted and I think it looks really good.
It really does depend on what kind of look you like. You can put limo tint on the rear window, which is really dark so no one can see inside, or you can go with a slight tint, just to keep a little bit of the sun's rays from penetrating.
I have limo tiint on my rear window and I regret putting on such a dark tint. After I tinted my car, I completely redid the interior with the addition of a rollbar and the rear window being as dark as it is, hides the clean, sharp, newly resculpted interior. I will most likely remove the limo tint and install a tint in which the interior can be seen.
Well I just happened to get my windows re-tinted a few months back. I went with 5% on the back and 20% on the sides. My car is white as well. It helps keep the car a bit cooler too in the summer. I used to have 5% all around but it was too dark for me, especially at night. Check out my signature or my corvette pics. Good luck with your decision

It depends on where you live, In Pa., you can only tint the windows that are behind the driver, otherwise you will risk getting a ticket, & the car will not pass inspection.
I have dark tinting on all three windows, it came with the car. I am very pleased with it and wouldn't change it. Here in Southwest Florida the sun can get pretty intense and the tinting really helps. If you live in a sandy area be careful rolling the windows up and down because sand can get in your weather stripping and it can scratch the tinting. My opinion is tint all three windows, not just one or two.

Your setup sounds like what i have in mind, knowing the percentage numbers will probably help when i decide, thanks. I looked at your pics and it was kinda hard to see the difference between the back and side tints, but it does look real sharp all tinted out.
I have dark tint on all three windows and I love the look as well as the protection it offers. I am not sure about the laws in your state and you don't want to get a angry officer to tack on stupic tickets like window tinting after you got pulled over for 40 over. I say if it is legal go for it, you will love the look.
One might do well to keep in mind that, except maybe in really hot states where tints are common for sun protection that cops generally don't like tinted windows even if it is legal. Not being able to see well into a car after a road stop makes them nervous and the last thing you want is a nervous cop.

And don't forget some cops carry tint meters with them and they can tell very quickly if you've got an illegal tint on your car, whether it's dark or daylight outside. So if you install a tint, darker than the law allows, you're taking a risk on receiving a ticket, but it's only a monetary fine, whereby no points are involved. Usually the fine is around $50, but every state is different.

Here in Florida you pretty HAVE to get your windows tinted. The sun is brutal!! Definitely do all three. Just the rear or just the sides, IMO would look incomplete.
I wonder if they'll ever create a window tint that lightens and darkens depending on how bright it is outside, (kind of like those eyeglasses that do the same thing)...
Well, I guess everyone agrees... exept me.
I dont like tint because if you tint your windows, I cannot make eye contact and see if you are looking in my direction when you are pulling up to an intersection.
Anything that makes your car more likely to get hit, I dont particularly like.
Same thing as black out for head/tail lights.

BTW, that is why it is illegal in most States/Provinces, not because cops cannot see inside. Although that is also a contributing factor.
I took the tint off my side windows when I bought my car.

Do you have problems at night seeing out the back window? Can the film be removed without screwing up the defrost grid?
