I was cruzin' down I-10 yesterday with the top down, traffic was flowing along about 75 mph. I got in between 2 tanker trucks so I gave it some gas to get past them (85 mph). Anyway, I saw some black car with his parking lights on coming up behind me like a bat out of hell. It was an SVT Mustang - must have been doing 120. About a minute later, 2 county sherrifs blew by me doing probably 130. I assume they were after the Mustang (ha-ha). Anyway, are those SVT's pretty fast? Looked gorgeous, but how do they stack up to an LT1?

Stock they are about 13.8 1/4's.
Dude must not have been able to drive.
I have seen an '03 run in the 12.80s. I think they are easily 12.90 to 13. teen cars. I was very surprised when he was right beside as I pulled third. I went 12.94 and he went 12.87.

not sure about track performance, but they are fun and fast cars on the street. I've never raced one, but did get to drive one once. I was impressed... for a mustang at least
Low 13's high 12's is what most stock 03-04 Cobra's will run. But not many stay stock very long. 10's are not uncommon in those cars. The will rape your LT1/4/L98's when modded and will still most likely win when stock. The pre 03 cobra's are mid 13 second cars I believe and like all mod motors love boost of one form or another.
