Engine Swap Possible ???
Second post on this one..No answer from anyone.. Can i install a LS1 from a 03 Vette into a 93 LT1.. How much trouble if possible..and what abt.the trans ..standard to auto..?

i wanted to do it, but kinda forgot about it, so tht will be a new project sumtime later with another car....lol
seems pretty easy to do it, get the motor mounts made ( street and performance, 65$) and then swap over your LS1 wiring harness and ECM and make your splices into your a/c / heating system and walla engine swap...lol
I know they make a bell housing adapter and flywheel adapters for the manual transmission, should have them for the auto too.

it wont be as straight-forward as a gen1 small block swap.
it would be not without some fabricating work.
i swapped a 2003 SSR 5.3L w/4L60e into a 65 c10 that
had a 283 4bbl th350. saved 142lb and move the engine back 4.5" from OE position. got a s&p harness and programmed
the pcm myself with hptuners.
all in all about $7500.

Seriously.. I spoke with Mike Norris in Orlando . He said "not worth the money,catastrophic costs involved" So i guess i,ll just have to suffer along..

Just wanted to thank all of you for the input.. This is the first post for me in months that did not end in flames on the forum..lol All positive feedback.. Guess i can put the aspestos suit and the flame retardent drawers back in the closet.. But i will continue to wear my helmet..

got lots of tools, a cherry picker, engine stand, air compressor, etc
