I have had this 1995 C4 for about three weeks. Absolutely love it. My problem is the interior. Who ever had the car before must of used oil or grease or ?? for cologne. I cleaned the carpets and got most of it out. Used Lexol on the seats.
The seats still don't look clean and the carpet could use some more work. Anybody had sucess getting dirty leather clean ? Also when the car has been closed up for a period of time there is an odor. I'm not sure how to describe it other that it just smells bad. Thanks for the help.
I've had the most success with Lexol, so I can't help you there. As for the odor, pick up a couple of those Arm and Hammer baking soda refrigerator boxes and put 'em under the seats for a while. Worked for me. Someone also told me orange peels absorb a lot of odor. Never tried that, though
If you're going to leave it sit for a while, split open a bag of charcoal, and lay it in the back (leave the charcoal in the bag)
That stuff will absorb the WORST odors imaginable!
