Default Coolest places to go ??

My wife & I are starting to plan for our "first" vacation (between June & August) in our Vette how about some ideas. Location not that important, just have some fun with the new toy. Open to all types of places to go. Bringing lots of memory chips for the cam.

I'm taking a trip to So-Cal this summer, can't wait to cruise PCH with the top off in a loping vette

But I don't think going to Cali. would be a very big Vacation for you.

I don't know what exactly you're looking for, but you would be amazed how scenic and fun to drive through AZ can be...Start by going through Sedona and spending a day or so there, then up through flagstaff, and up to the Grand Canyon...After the GC head up to Vegas and have a little bit of fun with the left over money you've put away for the vacation

How about coming straight up the coast into Oregon and than Washington. You than can go to the San Juan islands ( lovely ) or head up to British Columbia.
Go north young man, and have a ball.

Yosemite, Tioga Pass, and by all means, Highway 1 from San Luis Obispo/Morro Bay to Monterey. I have heard that Highway 1 is a beautiful drive all the way up the coast to the Oregon Border. I think another good drive would be Highway 49 from Oakhurst to Auburn.... we did that in 1985 with a convertible (unfortunately, not a Corvette). California is fortunate to have so many great places to drive a Corvette..... we've been to Yosemite and we just did the Highway 1 trip from Morro Bay to Monetery.... absolutely gorgeous. We've taken it to Huntington Lake, took it to Sequoia Park, Bass lake (it's on the way to Yosemite) and someday I hope to take a trip to Cedar Grove again but this time in the Corvette. Cedar Grove is similar to Yosemite in beauty but has way less traffic.

The nice thing about going anyplace in a Corvette is you're doing it in a Corvette..... hell... I like going grocery shopping on Saturday in it.

Have fun, where ever you decide to go.

A must do if you are going on vacation with the vette. That would be a nice ride across the country too.

Thansk for the ideas. With all this great stuff I'll need a second job to pay for it all.

Go to the annual corvette rally in Spearfish South Dakota. About the second weekend in July.

You have not lived until you have seen a couple hundred corvettes at Mount Rushmore. It is an emotional experience.........

No Question - Deal's Gap, Tennessee home of Highway US129, "The Dragon" - 318 turns in 11 miles.

A MUST DO for any Corvette driver at least once in their lifetime.

If you do come up this way.... just east of the San Juan Islands are the Cascade Mountains and the "North Cascade Route" is just a simply beautiful drive throught the mountains. Sun Mountain Inn (half way through the drive) is also a beautiful resort & spa to stay at.
