Hail

Man we got hail today.

Glad I had the vette tucked away nice and safe.

hail sucks. drove through a hail storm 3 years ago... tore up my clear top....

This brings up a question, do vettes get hail dents like steel cars do?

no... that's a good question.

my storm was pea sized, and a bit larger. I was driving through the storm at about 20mph. If the hail was larger, it would tear the living **** out of your body work. dents? no. holes? yes.

The upside to SMC, it will take small impacts and not care... where that storm dented up metal cars, all it did to my car is damage the top. The glass and bodywork were not effected.

Thanks bogus. I didn't think they would dent. I figured firt it would knock the pain off where it hit. If it were bigger hail stones it would crack the glass. Sorry to here about your expeience but it looks like you got it bacK together. Thanks fpr the info.

that hail storm was brutal yesterday. looked like it snowed! haha.

luckily both my vettes were kept safely in the garage. not so much for my POS sittin outside .. hah
