The front and rear wheels are not facing the same direction.

hopefully it's not opposite on the other side, that would be funny... where the front's correct and the rear's wrong

I would think that the rotation arrow on the tires should have given it away, but then again, my first thought was your top is missing :o

That's the problem - whoever fitted the tires got them on the wrong rims - when I check the tires they all point forwards.
I think the answer is that these wheels point back and sawblades point forward. No wonder the fast fit tire bays get confused.

I suppose that begs the question - is there any functional difference between "backward" and forward as far as the wheels only are concerned?

This is SO Common my girlfriend has gotten tired of me pointing it out when we see vettes out in traffic. Its such a pet peeve of mine that I actually thought to myself when I seen the title of this thread "I bet it is ANOTHER c4 with the wheels on backwards".

On the inside of each rim(at least on mine) it tells you where it belongs. If you don't put it on right the rims will fail due to being mismatched. They don't like looking ugly.
If you look at my avatar you will see the same thing,They have been "matched" since then.

The fins on the wheels are designed to help move air around the brake rotors and thru the slots in the wheel and does aid in brake cooling. As mentioned, the inside of the wheel should be marked something like: "Mount Left Side Only" or maybe simply Left Side or Right Side.

Directional wheels draw air across the brakes to cool them.
