Default Corvette Specifications

I need to fill in some registration forms for the UK reg but not sure where to find some of the info.

Vehicle is a 1988 Convertible.

Width in mm

Length in mm

HC g/km
NOx g/km
CO2 g/km
CO g/km

Unladen Weight in Kg
Max Permissible Weight

Anyone know any of these values or where to find them?

Thanks

This should give you a start:

Weights should be on the door sticker.

and google is the master of conversions... just google "convert 100 inches to mm" or what ever you want and it gives it to you at the top.

For a 88 Conv:
Width is 71.0" or 1803.4mm
Length is 176.5" or 4483.1mm

The rest is a little tricker.

The published unladen (or Curb) weight is about 3229 lbs or 1465 kg
(Curb weight is the calculated weight of a vehicle with standard equipment, only as designed with the additional load of oils, coolant, and fuel filled to capacity.)
The published shipping weight (Curb except with 3 gal of fuel) is 3195 lbs or 1449 kg.

To get the true curb weight, you need to get the car weighed without anyone in the car. How to weigh the car? The best is to empty it out, fill the tank, and if you are near a rural area, find a local grain Co-op. If they don't have a truck scale, they will know where one is.

For the Max Permissible Weight, you need to look at the sticker on the back of the driver's door, just below the door latch. Look for the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating). For my 94 Coupe, these were 3791 lbs/1720 kg.

The HC, NOx, CO2, and CO are all emissions values. You will need to have your car's emissions tested. Since I've never lived in a state that required emissions, I don't know what units they are provided (although grams per kilometers sounds odd).

The above data was taken from Cor-vette Specs by Mike Antonick (except the GVWR info, of course).
