My Hypertech programmer failed after the first use. I sent it in for repair and was told they don’t support my cars original factory program any more. They couldn’t retrieve my program out of the failed programmer.
Their solution is for me to go to a Chevy dealer and get my car reprogrammed back to factory specs, and Hypertech will send me a new programmer that can communicate with the current factory program.
I called a local Chevy dealer this morning to make an appointment. The service rep said he has never heard of such a thing and doesn’t quite know how to proceed.
Sure...go get your car dyno tuned and to heck with the Hypertech. If you are going to spend $$ getting someone to reprogram the computer, might as well be the optimum setup for your car.
I'm running the Hypertech program right now...I'm going to dump the factory program back in and get the car tuned...then sell the Hypertech.
I know what you are saying. The reason I got it in the first place was because of the 3.73 gears installed last year. It wasn't really for performance. I bought a 160 degree thermostat and wanted to lower the temp the fans come on at when it failed.
