Default Tacky engine bits

My car is completely stock , So i find it interesting to see what other people have done to dress up their engine. I've seen many good ,and not so good painted and chrome examples.

What's the Tackiest looking thing you've ever seen someone do to dress up their Vette engine.

Mike

I know it's not engine related... but spinner hub caps are on the top of my list

-I'm not a big fan of those fake braided hose coverings, or most anodized parts
-Those tiny chrome airfilters that look like they belong on a lawnmower.
-Chrome fan shrouds
-Too much silicone
-Oh, yeah! Covering every single vacuum line and electrical wire in neon colored plastic conduit
-Flame stickers from pep boys. Everyone knows you put them on the fender (backwards)Duh
-1 into 4 exhaust tips that stick out a foot from the bumper. Pipe organs belong in church!
-That clear flexible tubing you get from Home Depot will NOT make a good radiator hose.

you hit the spot! they are cheap knock offs of true braided hoses.the real thing is a whole lot better look!

some of the engine colors combined look horrible too. i.e;yellow/red or purple/gold. looks to me like a bad mix

One of my favorites is when somebody gets a can of spray paint in "chrome" colour and it comes out looking like it was painted on with a roller !

Hopefully I am not stepping on any toes, and hopefully you haven't done this to your Vette, but in my area, everybody is into the "tack on" hood scoop craze. I see them on Blazers, Grand Ams, 1995+ era Monte Carlos, etc. Just why do people think that their Ford Escorts need ram air?
