I used a U-haul the first time I needed to move my vette and I removed the front air dam just so I didn't have a problem.
It would have rubbed bad if I didn't remove it.
Get a trailer that has a removable fender so you can open the driver's door.
I have no problem putting my Vette on my open trailer but I do have the removable left fender on the trailer which you will need unless you plan on doing a Dukes of Hazards exit.
I hauled mine with Uhaul trailer in Dec last year. I recommend that you put a 2X6 under the ramps to so nothing scrapes underneath the car. Also make sure you get a trailer that you can lower the left fender.
As much as I dislike "trailer queens", I am having a trailer modified for my 91 Coupe. With the ground effects and side pipe I only have a little more than 3" clearance.
Here's my 87. picked it up in March . Slight rub going up the ramps but can be avoided by laying 2X6 on approach to ramps.
The uhaul fenders do fold down but unfortunately you still cant open the doors so get ready to crawl out the back hatch !
