Default Painted my dash, 87

Last winter one of the Forum members did this and I thought it was a good idea. I did not like the blue speaker covers and wanted to make the dash look the same color as the rest of the interior. I sprayed the speaker covers body color and used one can of Duplicor Vinyl/Fabric paint from NAPA ($5.65). Here's the results.
By the way, the pad comes off pretty easily. If you remove the left instrument panel trim you can get to the 3 left side screws. Then remove the 2 upper screws just above the middle AC vents and the 2 screws in the middle dash defroster vent and pull it toward you. There are no screws holding it on the right side.

That took some guts ! I could never paint my dash pad in fear of ruining it ! Overall it looks awesome. Lets see it in the car !

I'm ordering a carbon fiber dash kit and getting rid of the bread box. I will take pics when done. The dash cover is the last thing to go back on. Anyone want the breadbox?
Here is what the dash looks like nekked. The square grey thing is the VATS decoder module that I had to replace. Since I got it tore up I might as well pretty things up before I put it all back together.

Make sure you don't give away the vent cover because
you will need it for your new dash kit if it comes with the
opening!!

This dash was originally dark? Like black? ANd one can of dye covered it that well?!!? Wow!

Me likes!

I'm interested in your observations if the lighter color will cause for additional glare from the sun.
