Wondering if anyone can help me. My 89 corvette is periodically stalling
while the car is sitting in gear at idle or coasting toward a stop. Someone suggested it might be a MAF sensor, but I don't want to spend $400-500, if that is not the problem. Any suggestions?
Just a note, I did do some minor mods to the car, prior to this problem. I
had the following installed on my car but my mechanic don't think any of
this should have caused a problem.
Hypertech Power Chip with 160 termo
Performance Pulley Set
30 lb Accel Injectors
High Pressure Fuel Regulator
MAT Sensor Relo Kit
Davis HEI Distributor
K&N Filter/box
I just had the same problem on my 89 and changed the IAC. Runs much better. Cheap fix. You can try cleaning it or buy a new one for less than $30. Good luck Rich
