If for some reason today you went broke.....you had no other money to purchase a nicer vette or another car for that matter and hell had frozen over....would you drive it? And to add insult to injury would you take it to Bloomington Gold and gloat about your good fortune? Contestants have done worse on Fear Factor for a measly 50g's.
That car has been shown on here before a few months ago actually. I really don't mind the kit myself (not sure about the rear end), but the color definitely isn't my type. But hey, if the (future) owner likes it....all the power to him.
This is one of the threads that crack me up about this forum. Sure it could have been done better but it's not that bad. With the same kit done by the right shop and a better condition Vette this car would be a real head turner. Every time I think I am getting old I just go to the ole CF and read a thread like this and I am young again

Believe me, its not an issue of how well they worked with the kit that they had. To me it looked pretty well done. You can tell by the paint chips and marks that it was done several thousands of miles ago. The real issue here is simply that the kit that they used looks like something that the garbage man ought to pick up in front of my house this coming Monday morning.
Hmmmm. Creampuff of a car? Maybe a flake of a car. Did anybody catch the "AC blows warm, but it's just a simple top fitting, easy to get to". Which leads us all to query why he just hasn't fixed it if its so easy...
That car might get $5000 in an auction, and I'm shocked that ANYBODY actually bidded $5100. Oh well.
