Default Am I the only one...

Who occasionally leaves it in Drive on the freeway (especially late on a Fri night)just to listen to the exhaust at 3000 rpm?

What's a freeway??? You guys who live in those areas where you have these things are lucky...I think. Living in the boonies has it's advantages too, I guess.

I must also admit to slowly cruising around town in 2nd at times just because it sounds so damn good or idling thru a parking lot in low at about a 1000-1200 rpm. Doing either will turn a lot of heads, especially if the PE mufflers are opened up some. Okay, I'm a show-off at times. If you've got it, flaunt it!

Well I almost never drive in D on the local parkways. But, with all the toll gates in NJ I do tend to hammer it comming out of those 15mph zones.

Also, when at AC I love to cruize the parking garage setting off SUV alarms.

I can't think of a better sound, at least not that we can talk about here without having a lock.

I drove for a few miles on the freeway last week in *4th* just to hear it wail! I was feeling ornery, so I decided I would make my drive home "spirited" - I'm sure some of the other drivers wanted to kill me (or wanted me to kill myself), but I was being pretty safe. I wasn't even really speeding, just keeping the revs up in the powerband for quick and effortless passing and lane changing... What a blast!

Talk about wood! I got to park on the golf course at Pheasant Run for the Bloomington Gold show this year. We had to drive quite a way on twisty, paved golf cart tracks to get to and from the Forum parking area. FIRST gear, high flow cat and muffler elims. Sweet!

Default Saturday night, alone on the Freeway, targa off, hatch vent hooked up....

Who occasionally leaves it in Drive on the freeway (especially late on a Fri night)just to listen to the exhaust at 3000 rpm?
Join the club. Late weekend nights, alone and bored, I'll take the Vette out on the best conditioned Freeway in the US, the 75 Freeway in Florida, windows down, targo off with the hatch vent hooked up. Man, what a feeling... There's nothing like a C4 sports car.

I usually drive around town in 2nd...if I had deeper gears, like 3.73's, the rpm in 3rd would be the same...Just sounds so damn mean @ 3000rpm in 2nd gear on the street.

How long was the fairway, was that a 1, 2 or 3 wood?
