Default O E Wheels on ebay ?

Has anyone purchased a set of wheels/tires from this O E Wheels store on eBay? I see what looks to be a nice set of ZR1 wheels for what looks to be an unbelieveable price (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=43957).

Anyone have any experience with this site and its products??

I bought my wheels on ebay but elected to buy from AFS. Wheels and tires for $975.00. So far so good, I am satisfied.

I will add that I purchased AFS wheels from a forum member, but there are several vettes local to me that have OE wheels on their cars. They are very high quality, very good looks, and awesome price point!!! The only difference between the AFS and OE is on the 11" wheels (should you be looking at those). The AFS is the same flat faced look the stock GS wheels have, but the lug holes them self are inset, not the whole housing. OE's 11" wheels are the same design as the 9.5" with an additional "deep dish" lip on the outside. Personally I like that look a tad better, but I got such a great deal from ToyC4 that I couldn't turn it down.

Now to show you all that I am really dumb on this stuff. I have 255/45 ZR 17 tires on my front and 285/40 ZR 17 tires on my rear. How do I know the wheel sizes that I have? 17 x 9.5 or 17 x 11. I assume I have the 11 on my rear? Some Corvette wheels are sold as all 4 being 17 x9.5 and some as front 9.5 and rear 11.

Several here have bought from OE, I haven't heard anything bad about them other than if you talk to them on the phone they are somewhat arogant and kind of snooty (heresay, as I have not talked with them). I would probably buy from them myself.

I'm very pleased with my ZO6 wheels from OE. They are identical in every respect to the factory ZO6 wheels which I also own. They are virtually no heavier than my stock sawblades were, even being an inch wider at both ends plus an inch taller in the rear. They were $536 to my door. They do a hell of a volume and with good reason. They also have some killer deals on wheel/tire combinations.

Rago, based on the replies I got from my thread about 3 days ago, I'm getting the OE wheels this coming week. And the posters just above this one just confirm it for me!!!(thanks to them) I like the AFS wheels; they look fine, too. A little bit more price. But I think I want that rather unusal color that OE is selling, gunmetal. I'll get to live with my mistake if that's what it turns out to be --- gawddd, I hope not !!!

Take the plunge with me! Buy a set next week. Hey, maybe we can set up a group purchase and get an even better price????? Nahh, sounds like everyone who wants one, already got them unlike me and you. hmmmmmm,, any interest out there?

so you are getting the 17x 9.5 for your front and 17 x 11 for your rear? what size tires do you have? I have 255/45 17 on front and 285/40 17 on rear with probably stock wheels of 8.5 on front and 9.5 on rear? should I get ZR 1 9.5 all around with these tires??

If you are going to use your existing tires, you had better stick with the 9 1/2" all round. If you are going to put new tires on I'd go with the 11" in the rear and they are only $5 more for the set.. Gun metal I think would be my choice.

If your 95 came with the adjustable suspension, then it came with 9.5" on all 4 corners. The size is actually cast into the back side of the wheel on the one of the sawblades, you'll probably need a wet washcloth to wipe the brake dust off to see it

The stock tire size for a typical vette without the Z51 suspension is 8.5 front and 9.5 rear. The ZR1's and the Grand Sports came with 9.5 fronts and 11's in the rear. The 11's give a very agressive look and really fill the wheel wells. It is almost intimidating to see a 12 inch tire out back of one of these things.

If you get the 9.5 on all 4 corners you will want 275/40's, if you go 9.5 and 11's you'll need 275's in front and 315/35's in the rear.

It was my understanding that they all went w/ "deep dish" and not the deeeper lug version of this rim, I am interested because I was going to get a set of 11s (have 9 1/5 already) wanted old style myself.
Sorry about posting on your thread, not trying to pirate here

Here's what the 11" wheel with the deep dish style looks like...

You can see that the spokes themselves are set back and the lug recesses are the same depth as the normal 9.5" wheel...

.. for those of you going with 11" rears.. do they stick out much from the wheel well?
i have a 90, and would consider doing 11's if they didn't stick out.. otherwise.. 9.5 all the way around.
