The 315's on 11's stick out just a bit....when i did mine, the width is fine but the 35 side wall leaves a bigger gap to the fender that im still not to sure about....As for OE wheels....my experiance was great...even with conversion to Can$'s and import broker fee's i couldnt come close to the price here in Canada...i will tell ya that one of the 4 17" Grand Sports I got needed a fair bit of wait to ballance. Like was sai befor, 315's look crazy from the rear!!!

i have a 90, and would consider doing 11's if they didn't stick out.. otherwise.. 9.5 all the way around.
Mine stick out about 1/2" on my 96... I'm going to order fender flares soon to correct that...

If you get the 9.5 on all 4 corners you will want 275/40's, if you go 9.5 and 11's you'll need 275's in front and 315/35's in the rear.
Noticed I didn't answer Rago's question, and Kwik I've a q. for you.

First, no Rago, I've got non-stock, BBS basketweave wheels on my car now, but with stock-size tires on them. The wheels are all 9.5". I'm buying all 9.5", and staying with the existing Michelins (not the greatest, but older Pilot Sports, called by me "PS"), which are the 255-45 fronts and 285-40 rears.

If anything, I can keep it the way it is, 255 and 285 front and rear, which is what I'm doing. Or, I can up the size of the fronts possibly to 275-40 with no clearance or rub issues. And maybe even to 285-40; not sure about that last one. But I will probably increase the front tire size when I replace the PS on there.

Second, Kwik, so, why should I reduce the size of the rears--was that a typo?

I'm not sure I understand your logic: iif you put on 9.5" all around you'd go to 275-40 all around? That'd reduce the rear tire size; I don't want to do that. The fronts understeer now, and could use more traction via wider rubber. The rears will let go if powered-on, but kept the same size, they will come closer to providing a neutral-handling situation if the front end gets more traction.

Maybe one benefit that I CAN see from putting the same size tire and wheel on all four corners is that the potential becomes greater for a full, modified-X, four wheel tire rotation. That assumes that any future tire is non-directional but could be asymetric.
