Default Sound Partition for C4 Convertibles

I just received a new catalog from Corvette Central. It has a C5 style partition or sound deadener that goes between the seats and the rear storage area where the top retracts. Has anyone tried one of these? Do you know of a more reasonable priced source than the big vendors?

We tried one that was from another vendor for about $200. It was just a large sheet of clear plexiglass that was cut to fit and had holes cut through on the ends to fit straps that cinched around the seat backs.
I thought it was overpriced, It worked to curtail the wind buffeting, but with it in place you could not hear the rear speakers at all , you lost all access to the limited storage space from the drivers compartment, it was too high and I was concerned the straps would cut into the seat leather. We returned it.

I made a top stopper out of a black fiberglas arrow, cut it to size and glued a plastic tire valve cover to each end. Out of pocket expense: around $3. Got this idea from another Forum post last month.

Topstopper I was using a stick for that didn't know that someone made a gadget to hold the top up.

I have the soundkiller on my vert.
I can't say enough about it. It makes a substantial difference, and Iwould never go on a trip without it.
