Default Fuel Problem???

...hope you guys can help me out. I am new to these C-5's (1990 with a 5.7 - I think that is a C-5 anyways).....car hesitates when you hit the pedal and will go 40 - 50 mph if you accelerate slowly. I was thinking maybe a dirty/bad fuel filter but don't know where it is.....anything else I should look at? I know the car has not had a tuneup in some time......with fuel injection etc, I am not certain what should be changed in a tune up procedure......

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out...

Its a C4.

The fuel filter should be under the passenger seat area.
Take a look under the car in that area, you should see an aluminum shield that covers the Fuel filter.

I've had that symptom from either a fuel delivery problem or an ignition problem.

If you put a fuel pressure gauge onto the Schraeder valve on the RH side of the fuel rail you will see if pressure is ok. Of course installing a new filter is a quick check too.
